It’s a major milestone for WightKarting – the Ryde based go-karting track now has 50,001 members. The celebrations also mark four years of investment since the track opened in 2014.
Each year since WightKarting opened, they’ve offered customers the chance to experience motor racing 1st hand in timed sessions, designed to test all elements of competitive karting: endurance, team work, driving skill and agility. Also, late 2017 saw significant work and investment with a new reverse track layout – they are now able to offer drivers a NEW track layout – giving every driver the chance to drive the track in the 45mph karts in complete reverse. They also purchased some brand new karts for Cadet drivers, expanding their offering for younger racers. 2018 is bringing yet further excitement….watch this space for news.
Cathy Foulkes, Owner of WightKarting, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have reached over 50,001 members at the track, which is a testament to all that we do and offer at WightKarting as a unique destination on the Island. We would like to thank locals and visitors alike for their continued support of WightKarting through the years. We have plenty more activities, new packages and developments at the track all throughout 2018, so we can’t wait to reach our next milestone – 100,000!”
