Chamber Health is making sure the Island makes the most of ‘Stoptober’.
The Stoptober campaign is a 28 day national challenge to encourage people to stop smoking for the month of October.
Chamber Health’s Island Quit mobile unit will be out and about throughout the period, helping and supporting any one that wants to give it up.
The unit will be at shopping centres and supermarkets, providing a friendly focal point for people to gather round, chat and sign up to the Isle of Wight Stop Smoking Service.
Chamber Health’s Programme Co-ordinator, Angela Harding, said 270,000 people signed up to stop smoking throughout the country during last year’s campaign. Angela said: “Go on, take up the challenge – it may change your life!”
