Advanced Performance Coatings is set for a busy third year in business. The Shanklin based company’s recent clients include work on the Bloodhound SSC project to design and build a car that will break the 1,000mph barrier, setting a new world land speed record.
“We’re proud to be involved in one of the most exciting British projects for many years,” says APC’s Jon Benton. “It’s extremely high profile work and has put us on the international stage, showing that we can react to a difficult project and a tight deadline. We’re competing with other more established mainland companies and we’re also involved with some great locally based companies, including Strainstall, GTR, PE Composites and BAE Systems.”
“We’re continuing to see a healthy growth in turnover, and I believe if we stay competitive, deliver on time, and stay focused on what we’re good at, the Isle Of Wight is a great place to trade. We’ll continue to invest in equipment and training to broaden our capability base. I already believe we offer a wider range of protective, decorative, and industrial coatings than many other larger national companies, literally covering anything from lightweight composites to protective coatings on heavy industrial castings.”
