Eco-clothing brand Rapanui’s new purpose-built site in Cowes is paying dividends with a
higher volume of business and new recruits expanding the team. 10 staff have
joined the company including eight apprentices. Investments in plant machinery
mean that prices and costs have also been reduced.

“We’re shipping a lot more product now,” says co-founder Rob Drake-Knight. “Our
new home is ten times as big as our last place in Sandown. We’ve brought our
manufacturing back to the Isle Of Wight and we do all of our screenprinting,
direct-to-garment printing and embroidery here. It’s allowed our business to
business sales to grow and we’re now providing digital merchandise for
charities and publications, with end-to-end fulfilment from a custom made
website to distribution. For Rapanui’s fashion brand we’re also able to have
new collections more regularly. This is the beginning of the next chapter of Rapanui.”
