SaLT by the Sea’s Bryony Rust has received a scholarship to attend an acclaimed online startup business programme. Bryony has over ten years’ experience working as a speech and language therapist and she founded SaLT by the Sea three years ago, an independent service for families and schools across the Isle of Wight. Bryony won her scholarship at Marie Forleo’s B-School. Her application video was selected for its focus on helping young children to improve their speech, language and communication skills and providing families with accessible information.
The online scholarship has enabled Bryony to expand and enhance the online aspect of her business. Sensing a lack of accessible information for parents, Bryony is now producing free advice videos for parents of late talkers and is in the process of creating an online course.
“I set up SaLT by the Sea in order to provide effective and engaging therapy for families,” Bryony says. “I never expected to also enjoy the business development side of things. The B-School scholarship has provided me with strategic support that has had a positive impact not only on my business growth but also my vision for the future. I’m excited about what lies ahead!”
