NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association, notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Limited which will take place at 2.00pm on Friday 11th October 2019 at The Garlic Farm, Newchurch, Isle of Wight. The Agenda, Minutes of the last AGM and Summary of Accounts are also attached below for your information.
Please note that attendance at the AGM at 2.00pm is free, but if you would like to attend the Networking Lunch at 1.00pm there will be a cost of £25+VAT per person.

Further, in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association, one third of the elected Directors must retire from office at this meeting.
The following vacancies have arisen:
Category 1: General Business
* Mark Lee completes his 3-year term of office and offers himself for re- election for a second 3-year term of office.
Category 2: Professional & Business Services
* Christopher Scott completes his 3-year term of office and offers himself for re- election for a second 3-year term of office
* Jonathan Thornton completes his 3-year term of office and offers himself for re-election for a second 3-year term of office.
Category 3: Tourism, Leisure & Retail
Category 4: Transport & Logistics
* Neil Chapman stands down after completing his second 3-year term of office creating a vacancy in this category.
* Kevin George stands down after completing 2 years of his 3-year term of office creating a vacancy in this category.
Fran Collins CEO of Red Funnel offers herself for election to fill this vacancy for a 1-year term of office.
Category 5: Manufacturing
We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from members who feel that they have the right skills and qualities to be able to contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Island’s business community and its economy.
If you would like to put yourself forward for one of the above vacancies, please contact Vanessa Brozowski on 01983 554533 as soon as possible to arrange an informal meeting with the Chamber President, Peter Tomlinson and Chief Executive, Steven Holbrook to discuss the roles and responsibilities required of the position in more detail, prior to your submission of the attached Nomination Form.
Your completed Nomination Form must then be returned, marked for the attention of the President to the Chamber Office: Mill Court, Furrlongs, Newport Isle of Wight PO30 2AA by 12.00 noon on Friday 20th September 2019.
