Students at the Isle Of Wight College took part in a week of training and presentations designed to encourage budding entrepreneurs. As part of Enterprise Week students heard from Island High Sheriff Claire Locke, Liz Earle co-founder Kim Buckland, style coach Dee Becker and marketing specialist Dale Howarth, along with Rouse & Co and Isle of Wight Jobs.
“We’re concentrating on introducing our students to enterprise opportunities and potential employers”, said Janet Stevens, Head of Workforce Development. “The students are coming toward the end of their courses and thinking about their future – whether that’s further education, employment or an apprenticeship. We want them to be inspired and use this week to equip themselves with the tools to go ahead and start their own business in the future or to commit themselves to any career path”.
