Isle of Wight Day is to return this year and the event will be bigger than ever. Speaking at a launch held at Barton Manor, the Island’s High Sheriff Robin Courage confirmed that he will continue to spearhead Isle of Wight Day, and that the 2017 support will be supported by Ben Rouse, who takes over as High Sheriff in April.
“Isle of Wight Day is your day,” Robin Courage told the attendees. “Enjoy the day. It won’t be long coming.” He also unveiled the “Celebrating Together” photo book, published to reflect the success of the 2016 event.
Trophies were presented by the Chamber’s President Geoff Underwood. Councillor Jon Boileau Goad, Chairman of Niton and Whitwell Parish Council, received the Best Dressed Town or Village Cup on behalf of the village of Niton (above left).
