Two Island attractions have received awards from VisitEngland in recognition of the quality visitor experience on offer. The Owl And Monkey Haven was one of the highest scorers across the board and has been rewarded with a Gold Accolade, while the IW Steam Railway has been awarded in the Welcome category. The awards have been introduced by VisitEngland for the first time this year and are available to attractions that are part of the Visitor Attractions Quality Scheme and are allocated through a scoring system based on an annual assessment by VisitEngland.
James Berresford, Chief Executive of VisitEngland said: “These attractions are all succeeding in ensuring visitors enjoy their experience, whether by providing a warm welcome, capturing the imagination with creative storytelling, providing a high-quality food and drink offer or ensuring an all-round quality experience for visitors.”
Owl And Monkey Haven Trustee David Wickes added: “The recognition of a VisitEngland Gold accolade is testament to the Haven’s creation and our dedicated team. It is a wonderful way to round off the year. The Haven is an exemplary example of build quality and animal husbandry and our whole team work tirelessly to deliver high standards of cleanliness, customer care, and guest experiences.”
