Island businesses are invited to attend a 30-minute information workshop on Wednesday June 23 10am on Zoom. The event is hosted by Future Isle of Wight and Greentech South, helping businesses to discover how to apply for 36% grant funding – up to a value of £25,000 – around introducing renewable energy measures to their business operations.
The grant funding is being allocated through the European Regional Development Fund and administered in the Solent region by Greentech South under the Emphasis3 project.
The funding is for a range of measures including photovoltaic panels (PV), solar thermal panels (for free hot water), air source heat pumps (heating hot water system), electric vehicle charging points (EVCP), electric vehicles, LED lighting and more.
EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions Industry Liaison Officer, Matt Pullinger explains: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Island companies to “green up their business” and reduce carbon in their operations. We are looking to help Isle of Wight businesses in this transition.”
The grant is awarded through a panel decision, so is given on the merits of an application process.
