Four beautiful dogs won the Lottery Pets competition and will take centre stage in the 2013 promotional campaign.
Indie, Pickle, Bobby and Mrs Jingles got their first taste of the action when they posed for a picture together, and they proved the perfect team.
They were the winners out of more than 100 entries, after the competition was publicized in the County Press and Isle of Wight Radio, and on the Isle of Wight Lottery Facebook page.
Chamber of Commerce Group Marketing Manager Zoe Stroud said: “We were blown away by the response to this competition. The Island is obviously full of lovable pets and it was so hard to choose the winners, but the four dogs edged it because their individual characters shone through.
“We didn’t know what to expect when they turned up for the photocall, but there were no prima donnas – they all behaved perfectly!”
Becky Jones, of Newport, sent in a picture of Indie, the family’s six years old bearded collie, with her head wedged in a cat flap.
Norma Bradley’s five years old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pickle, was pictured after getting stuck into a pile of shredded paper, just after chewing on a glue stick.
Lesley Milbank, of Yarmouth, sent in a picture of Bobby – an 18 months old Cocker Poodle who was celebrating his first birthday by wearing party balloons.
And Kerri Hastry, of Sandown, submitted a shot of Mrs Jingles, her one year old Border Collie cross Jack Russell dressed up as a court jester.
