Eleanor Squibb is celebrating a £4,000 win on the Isle Of Wight Lottery – but she hasn’t spent any of the money just yet. She’s been saving up to put down a deposit on a house and now she and her boyfriend are able to start looking for their new home together.

“I’ve always known about the work that the IW Lottery does to support local businesses,” says Ellie. “I first joined when a friend got a loan to start-up her own shop. Both my parents are self employed so I know it’s really hard to start up your own business. I was actually off work with flu so I missed the call from Lottery Zoe! I was in the house alone when I picked up the voicemail message so I screamed and cried on my own – then I called my boyfriend. I was over the moon. I couldn’t believe it. I was shaking. John and I have been saving up over time and the money means we can now view houses rather than hoping and wishing.”
