We need to hear from businesses to help us understand your skills needs.

BCC Accredited Chambers of Commerce up and down the country have been designated by the Secretary of State to help develop Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) that are set to help grow local economies and boost opportunities for future generations.

Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) are designed to put employers at the heart of the skills system and ensure that local businesses’ voices are heard to help influence and shape local skills and training provision. This project is a unique opportunity that enables businesses across the Isle of Wight to share their first-hand experiences around skills successes, needs, challenges, and shortages.

Though a range of presentations, debate and breakout sessions we will share our developing insights, explore what skills you need to address your immediate and longer-term goals, and identify better ways to deliver skills solutions accessible to your business. Light refreshments will be provided.

We need to hear from all parts of the business landscape across the county so to ensure your business and sector needs are included come along to this free event and help inform our skills plans. This event is part of a wider week long schedule of events taking place across Hampshire to be followed by an LSIP Stakeholder Summit at Marwell Zoo on 1 March 2023, bringing together all those involved in the planning; employers, skills providers, charities, and the public sector.
